Scott graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in Aeronautics. He continued to acquire further aerospace experience and education by working as a contractor at NASA Ames Research Center, developing software for aircraft and spacecraft.
Scott learned to fly in 1985 with the Flying Aces Club, which offered flight training to students of the San Jose State University Aeronautics Department. He became an FAA Certified Flight Instructor, and an Airline Transport rated pilot, in 1990.
When he’s not flying or developing software, he enjoys playing video games and golf.
